How do you get your Jesus on(quiet time and/or worship) with a roommate?

I finally got a prayer wall set up in my dorm room! Basically, when I have or come across a prayer request, I write it down on a sticky note and attach it to my prayer wall. And I keep praying for that request until God answers it, and then I take down the sticky note and add it to my stack of answered prayers/blessings wall.

I’ve been home for the weekend, but I go back to my dorm tomorrow, so if you have something you would like me to add tomorrow, please message me and I will keep it on my wall until you tell me that prayer has been answered! I would love to prayer for you! (:

A revolution of hundreds of Tumblr users turning to Christ. Who’s in?

In the latest episode of Shake It Up, a show that airs on Disney Channel, the two main characters head to a lakeside cabin to kick off their summer vacation. During the show, Rocky, one of the main characters, is dared to go into the lake at night by her best friend and dance partner, Cici. While returning to the group from her dare, Rocky steps on a glass bottle, damaging her foot. At the hospital, they discover that she will need surgery on her foot and may not be able to dance again.

While Rocky is in surgery, Cici is shown alone in Rocky’s hospital room and has a conversation with God in which she tries to bargain with him, saying that she wanted God to take the glass from Rocky’s foot and put it in hers, since it was Cici’s fault that Rocky had gone into the lake. The content of the prayer was focused on how Cici though Rocky was such a good person, and that she felt bad that it had happened to her. Cici swears to be a better person if Rocky is healed before asking “Big Guy” to let her switch places with Rocky. She doesn’t refer to God as anything other than Big Guy.

In Good Luck Charlie, Gabe and PJ are in a helicopter when their pilot reveals that he had never flown a helicopter before and passes out. Gabe proceeds to ask God, this time actually referring to God as God, to save them and he’ll promise to be good. Instantly, the man flying the helicopter wakes up and safely lands the helicopter. Later, PJ feels upset that he froze and couldn’t help the situation, so Gabe decides he will help PJ get over his fear as his “good thing” to make up for his miracle from God.

I was very shocked to see that such a big named corporation such as Disney had included any reference to God, seeing as almost all of their classic movies are based on magic and witchcraft. I view it as good that they are finally paying respect to the One True God, however I feel as though they have gone about portraying it all wrong. What is your reaction to these prayers? Do you feel as though it was a good thing that Disney finally paid homage to the only real God there is? Should they have gone about it differently?
